SiRFDemo is a legacy Windows utility used to configure, monitor, and evaluate GPS/GNSS receivers based on SiRF chipsets. It connects to your receiver over a serial or USB‑to‑serial port, letting you view live positioning data, inspect messages, and adjust low‑level settings for testing and troubleshooting.

Highlights:

  • Live sky view with satellite status and signal strength
  • Real‑time position, velocity, time, DOP, and SNR readouts
  • Message monitor for NMEA and SiRF Binary, with adjustable output rates
  • Receiver controls: hot/warm/cold start, reset, static navigation, SBAS/WAAS, and power‑saving modes (as supported)
  • Data logging and playback for post‑analysis
  • Port scanning and baud‑rate configuration to simplify connection setup

Typical uses include validating antenna placement, measuring time‑to‑first‑fix, optimizing message configurations, and diagnosing reception issues. SiRFDemo is intended for SiRF‑based receivers; functionality varies by device and firmware. It requires a Windows PC with an available COM port (physical or virtual) and appropriate drivers.

SiRFDemo is developed by SiRF Technology, Inc. and is used by 1 user of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 3.7. The names of program executable files are SiRFDemo.exe, SiRFDemo.exe_D8207FF40A8C4D36968236E04AE96C52.exe.

It's very useful for my application. I use it to monitor the differences in positions, my antenna is fixed and try to use it to study the role of the ionosphere on the propagation of GPS signal. Thank you for allowing me to use the demo!
